Forecast on Friday indicated a possibility of wind on Wednesday. Hadn't been sailing for far too long, so with the thought of a high tide sail at WW in mind, took a risk and booked a day off in advance. Which paid off (sort of.....)

Well it was windy. BUT I was underpowered, the water state was just a complete mess, and booties are GAY. Not a great session. Should have rigged the 5.9 then I'd have been fine. Still, worth it cos was great to get out and a crap days sailing is infinitely better than a good days working, and also cos met up with Boards forumers Billyboy and Mike S.

(Fortunately...had my new winter wetsuit on. Has been a colossal hassle trying to get it in the past few days. Surfladle phoned me to say they'd finally got a medium-tall Pro Limit suit in last Friday, but then they sold it straight away on Saturday morning to someone else, just before I came in. GRRRRR wasted trip. Looked elsewhere for one - Boost kitesurfing in Hove said they had a Neil Pryde suit from last year but when I cycled down to their shop, turned out it was a crap fully double lined number. GRRRRR another wasted trip. Surfladle said they would get another Pro Limit suit in for Wednesday. This was no good though since I was going to need it on Wednesday and they had no idea exactly when it would be delivered to them. Thought sod it, I'll have to take the annoying detour and go in to Surfladle on the way to WW, and just buy the more expensive NP suit if they haven't got the Pro Limit suit in yet. BUT my luck was in - arrived 10.30am and they had just received the delivery! Then, double lucky, normal Surfladle man Danny wasn't there and his slightly clueless colleague boo-booed and sold it to me for £150 not £180! Ah, all's well that ends well! Thumbs up to Surfladle, they tried their hardest to get me the right suit, offered me discounts on other suits to make up for not having the one I wanted, and in the end the one I did want I got cheap! Bonza.)
